The Final Boss Rush 2024 was a special stream by RTGame that was broadcast on January 26th, 2024. It featured ten different games, with the objective of beating the final boss of each game.
This was the first livestream by RTGame in 2024 and marked his return from the winter break.
Initially, the theme of the stream was not stated, raising numerous speculations within the community based. Even after the stream started, RT did not close the true objective of the stream until after beating the first game. Afterwards, he set out the goal of defeating nine different bosses in a row.

Deltarune - Spamton
The first game was Deltarune, a indie-game by Toby Fox released in 2018/2021. RT started directly into the boss fight against Spamton G. Spamton, a bonus boss of Deltarune's chapter 2. This was similar to the way RT previously began his playthrough of Undertale on April Fool's Day 2022, leading to Chat briefly believing that a playthrough of Deltarune was the theme of the stream.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - Galeem & Dharkon
After explaining the true objective of the stream, RT started the boss rush from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's Adventure Mode: World of Light. He first battled through the Army of Puppets made of most playable characters in the game. After that, he defeated the bosses Ganon, Dracula, Giga Bowser, Rathalos, Galleom and Marx, arriving at the final fight against Galeem, the Lord of Light, and Dharkon, the Embodiment of Chaos and Darkness. He finished the gauntlet in 27 minutes and 18 seconds.
Pokémon Black 2/White 2 - PWT Champions Tournament
Next up was the Champions Tournament, a special series of fights within the Pokémon World Tournament in the generation 5 Pokémon games Black 2 and White 2. The Champions Tournament features battles against Champions from all previous Pokémon games up to this point, choosing three opponents randomly to fight against for the player. First, RT faced Cynthia, Champion of Sinnoh and defeated her soundly. Next up was Lance, Champion of the Johto region. Unfortunately, Lance had the superior team, leading to the first loss of the stream. After restructuring of his Team, RT attempted the Tournament again. This attempt was successful, with him beating Cynthia again, defeating Alder of the Unova region and triumphing over Steven Stone from Hoenn.
Wii Sports - Matt
Changing console yet again, RT attempted to beat Matt, the famously most powerful NPC in the Wii Sports series, in a boxing match. Sadly, he was soundly knocked out by Matt, leading to a reset and new attempt. In the second fight, which dragged on to round 2, Matt stayed down after beaten to the ground four times, earning RT the much desired win.
Plants vs. Zombies - Dr. Zomboss
The fifth boss of the rush was Dr. Zomboss, the evil mastermind in the 2009 tower defense game Plants vs. Zombies. After also also battling with minor technical difficulties stemming from the ancient PopCap Framework engine, RT defeated the giant mech of Dr. Zomboss and rewarded the audience with the credits song of the game, Zombies on your lawn.
Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story - Dark Star Core
Having repelled the armies of brain-eating zombies, RT switched games to Bowser's Inside Story, a 2009 turn-based Super Mario RPG for the Nintendo DS. This final fight featured a battle between Bowser and Dark Bowser, the form the Dark Star gained after absorbing parts of normal Bowser. After beating Dark Bowser, the fused remains of Dark Fawful and the Dark Star emerge from Dark Bowser's body. Dark Fawful had previously entered Dark Bowser to absorb the powers of the Dark Star, becoming the Dark Star Core. Bowser then proceeds to eat the fused boss. This enables Mario and Luigi, who are also inside Bowser's body, to finally fight and defeat the foe.
Hollow Knight - Nightmare King Grimm
The next boss fight was against the powered-up Nightmare King form of Grimm, a character from the 2017 metroidvania game Hollow Knight. RT did beat this boss before, during his playthrough of Hollow Knight in 2021. As such, he managed to defeated Grimm again with relative ease. As a bonus, he then proceeded to also fight the Pure Vessel, beating it in two tries. He even started a fight against the Eternal Ordeal, a never-ending wave of clones of the legendary warrior Zote. In this endless fight, RT manged to beat 36 Zotelings before being killed.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Debt
As a joke, the next 'boss' being 'beaten' was a debt payment made to Tom Nook, a re-occuring character famous for offering housing options and expansions to the player. Notably, this was neither a real fight nor a final boss, since the 5000 Nook Miles payment made is only the first debt payment in the progression of the game. It was most likely included for comedic relief and as an opportunity for a little break after the boss fights so far. Since Tom Nook can't take no as a answer and forces the player to take a new loan, RT simply closed the game and went on to the next title.
Final Fantasy VII Remake - Sephiroth
No real boss rush would be complete without a battle against one of the most iconic villains in video game history, so the following fight was against Sephiroth, the one-winged angel and main antagonist of Final Fantasy VII. Including mid-fight cutscenes, RT did beat him in about 9 minutes and 40 seconds.
Beat Saber - Reality Check Through the Skull
Lastly, RT attempted to beat the probably hardest song in the VR-game Beat Saber. Reality Check Through the Skull is a remix by DM DOKURO, made from the song Megalovania in the aforementioned game Undertale. Beat Saber relies on the player using motion controls to cut red and blue boxes in a virtual reality environment. Reality Check Through the Skull features an extremely difficult sequence of movements in it's opening section, leading to multiple failed attempts by RT. He ultimately succumbed to exhaustion after 31 <!--unsure about accuracy of this count--> tries. He did however, almost complete the song two times and did use the feature to re-join the song on a custom point, re-doing the final notes he failed on and showing the audience how close he was to full completion.
