Granddad is a character from RT's Pokemon Legends: Arceus playthrough. He is the ancestor of Dad, a character who made his debut in the Brilliant Diamond playthrough.

History

*WARNING! SPOILERS FOR POKEMON LEGENDS: ARCEUS AHEAD!*

Granddad was RT's character for the Legends playthrough, because it was set in past Sinnoh. He fell through the rift in time due to being summoned by Arceus. He was commanded to catch every Pokemon, and was given an Arc Phone to be used as a map and so God could casually text him. After choosing the starter Rowlet and naming it Dr. Hoo, Granddad became a member of the Galaxy Team’s Survey Corps.

Travelling through the Hisui region, Granddad calmed each of the Pokemon lords/nobles that grew frenzied from the lightning that came from the rift. However, the space-time rift expanded and he was exiled from Jubilife Village. To prove his innocence, Granddad (along with Volo and Adaman) sought out artifacts to craft the Red Chain, which would presumably seal the rift.

After proving his worthiness to the lake guardians, Granddad returned to the Village, only to find that Commander Kamado and the Security Corps had left for Mount Coronet to deal with a sighted Pokemon. In typical Granddad fashion, he defeated Commander Kamado and caught both Dialga and Palkia.

**BIG SPOILERS FOR THE TRUE ENDING OF LEGENDS: ARCEUS!**

Volo requested for Granddad to get the rest of the Plates, which he had been collecting. Once he did, Volo took him to the Ruins of Sinnoh and revealed that he was the one to cause the space-time rift.

Personality

Granddad is a very indecisive person, responding "who's to say?" to almost every question. He seems to also be very lucky, due to the sheer amount of shiny Pokemon that he found. Unfortunately, he wasn't as lucky when it comes to finding a 2'8" Buizel.
