Granddad

Granddad is a character from RT's playthrough of Pokemon Legends: Arceus. He is the ancestor of Dad, an original character who made his debut in the channel's journey through Pokemon Brilliant Diamond.

History

Granddad was RT's character for the Legends playthrough, as the game takes place in past Sinnoh; after being summoned by Arceus, he fell through the rift into the game's landscapes. Granddad was commanded to catch every Pokemon, and was given an Arc Phone to use for both navigation and communication. After choosing the starter Pokemon Rowlet and naming it Dr. Hoo, Granddad became a member of the Galaxy Team’s Survey Corps.

Travelling through the Hisui region, Granddad calmed each of the Pokemon lords and nobles that grew frenzied from the rift's lightning storms. However, the space-time rift expanded and he was exiled from Jubilife Village. To prove his innocence, Granddad (along with Volo and Adaman) sought out artifacts to craft the Red Chain, which would presumably seal the rift.

After proving his worthiness to the lake guardians, Granddad returned to the Village, only to find that Commander Kamado and the Security Corps had left for Mount Coronet to deal with a sighted Pokemon. After a lengthy battle, he defeated Commander Kamado and caught both Dialga and Palkia.

Volo requested for Granddad to get the rest of the Plates, which were needed for his collection. Once Granddad retrieved all of the objects, Volo took him to the Ruins of Sinnoh and revealed that he was the one who caused the space-time rift.

Personality

Granddad is a very indecisive person, responding "who's to say?" to almost every question. He seems to also be very lucky due to the sheer amount of shiny Pokemon that he finds; this luck, of course, seemingly evaporates when it comes to finding a 2'8" Buizel.
