Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are a duo of near-identical role-playing games developed by Game Freak and released in 2022. RTGame played the Scarlet version during his streams. RT also broadcasted the DLC The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero.
The game was first played during the livestream on November 18th, 2022. The first part of the DLC, The Teal Mask, was started on September 13th, 2023 and finished after one day on September 14th. The second part, The Indigo Disc was started on December 16th, 2023 and was completed the next day on December 17th.
Over the course of multiple, extraordinarily long streams, several recurring characters were created. RT named his character Lettuce and embarked on a journey to discover the secrets of the Paldea region. A large number Pokémon were caught for a steadily rotating team, most notably Taffy the Tinkaton and Candy the Mareep. The playthroughs also spawned exhaustive commentary by both RT and the Chat members on the technical state of the game, especially the sub-par performance and its lackluster graphics. As with many other games played by RT in the past, he managed to sequence-break the game due to it's semi-linear story progression, open-world design and low difficulty. Notably, he battled the legendary Pokémon Wo-Chien before beating the third gym.
