The Winter Event happened on the 1.12-1.13 server during winter. The event caused a large amount of snow to fall in all biomes across the server. Snow would fall even when there wasn't snow falling from weather. Some zombies would also turn into Snowmen.
Controversy
The event was not liked by some of the community, with many people expressing their disapproval of the event to the staff. The overwhelming amount of snow on the server caused an influx of snow golems which caused the server to lag heavily.
None the less, others did enjoy the event even if not as vocal.
